Negin Chaoud was born in Iran, 1981 and currently resides in Western Sydney Australia. She has exhibited in many group exhibitions in Sydney and Internationally in Rome, Italy. Chahoud’s artistic concerns draw on her emotional journey as refugee and aims to give a voice to her own struggles and that of others in her community. Her practice embodies motifs from the natural environment and classical Persian text. She often creates multi-layered 2D works in printmaking, painting, drawing and mixed media. Her current series of works are based on the persecution of the Bahai’s in Iran.
